Meet Linda

Linda Leier Thomason is best described as a woman with rich life experiences. She’s the wife of Ken and the mother of Alex. She’s the 2nd oldest of  9 children raised on a North Dakota diversified farm. says “Leier” is a German topographical name for someone living near a rock or in a rocky place.  A perfect description of where she was raised.

Linda put herself through undergraduate and graduate school, worked on Capitol Hill for a senator and as a lobbyist for a Fortune 300, after working in development and marketing in the long-term care industry.

She founded, grew and sold multiple businesses in one of the world’s most popular wedding destinations-Charleston, South Carolina. To serve her customers well, Linda earned the title of Accredited Bridal Consultant. She produced bridal fashion shows and trade shows in North and South Carolina. In addition, she published a bridal magazine and consulted with clients planning Charleston weddings. She and her husband, Ken, also operated a mobile DJ service in Charleston, SC and Orlando, FL.

Linda has a strong history of spotting, hiring, and developing talent. Some who walked her fashion show runways and graced her magazine covers became national pageant finalists and starred in musical productions. Others have served in corporate leadership positions and contributed greatly to their communities. She’s judged pageants and mentored both young men and women in multiple states.

Linda’s constantly on the move-traveling or exploring-to satisfy her compulsive curiosity. She enjoys the creativity of cooking, compelling characters in books or on stage, photography, business development and swimming in warm waters across the globe.

Today she and her husband reside in Omaha, Nebraska. Most days she’s ghost writing speeches, print copy or website content for clients. Here, Linda shares snippets of her life’s interests with readers: travel, photography, cooking, parenting, weddings & etiquette, business development and entrepreneurship.

Linda’s lived in 8 states and considers herself  an expert on downsizing, relocating and re-establishing in new communities.

Returning to her Midwestern roots, she enjoys visiting and promoting small to mid-sized markets, especially those with emerging agri-tourism. She sees these locations with both a business and a visitor eye, making her posts valuable to community leaders and informative to travelers.
