Janet’s Cooked Apples

fall apples1 Cup Sugar

2 Tablespoons flour (or cornstarch)

1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon (I use 1 1/2 teaspoons.)

1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg (I use 1 teaspoon.)

6 Cups sliced and pared apples

Cook and stir over medium heat until almost tender…depending on how soft you want the apples…7 to 15 minutes. Stir frequently to avoid scorching.
