Is Your Marriage a Disaster?

A Troubled Marriage

Does the following describe your marriage?

The following Checklist was distributed by Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska, Inc.

  • Common courtesies are neglected
  • Long silences
  • Common concerns are no longer shared
  • No expressions of affection
  • Avoidance of physical intimacy
  • One spouse begins using drugs or alcohol
  • Frequent arguing
  • No long-term goals for the relationship

If you answered “yes” to two or more of these statements, consider contacting a counselor or Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska’s Central Intake Office at 855.659.2706 for help and guidance in saving your troubled marriage.

Don’t Ignore the Warning Signs

Overcoming distance and tension in marriage can be difficult. However, avoiding or ignoring these problems will not bring you closer to your spouse.

It will not provide the love and nurturing each of you needs.

Dealing with troubling marital problems is often painful but attacking the issues with a trained counselor can help revive your marriage.
